The European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences reports that luteolin, a flavonoid found in lemongrass, may be able to not only slow down the growth of select types of cancer cells, but speed up their death as well. In addition to this, luteolin exhibits such powerful anti-inflammatory properties, it’s claimed to treat several symptoms of multiple sclerosis and lung infections. So, adding lemongrass to your meals not only boosts its flavours, but can also help you stay healthy!
