A pot of warmth
This dish of stewed cabbage, with yam and prawns, is served in a steaming claypot — mmm, comfort food. It brought to mind my paternal grandmother, who loves yam, and I could easily picture it on the table of a kampung home. Which is not to say Chynna’s version isn’t refined. The yam was bite-sized and the prawns so juicy and crunchy (a sure sign of freshness), I had at least two.
