It’s that time of the year again when you’re busy, trying to work at your new year resolutions to better yourself – be it sticking to a healthier diet, to be more financially independent, or to learn a new skill. But sticking to your resolutions, and seeing them through is hard.
Time management firm FranklinCovey, in its study, shared that one third of those who make resolutions give up before the calendar even hits February. That sounds terrible but it doesn’t mean that you should give up without even trying – especially in this technologically wired age where there are apps for everything!
There are so many apps that can act as reminders, confidantes and motivators to make sure that you see your resolutions through this new year, and here are how you can use them to manage your life better.
Manage your money better
One of the most popular resolutions is saving money and better management of finances. There are several apps like You Need A Budget and MoneyCoach – Budget & Expenses that help you plan a budget and make it easier for you to stick to it. These apps will keep track of your expenditure, separating them into different categories like mortgage, bills and loans, making it easier to know where your money goes to at the end of the month. You can also set goals such as “Save RM5,000 by the end of December 2019”, and the apps are built with features that encourage you to improve your spending habit, and put your money to better use in order to reach your goal.
